Materials Required:
AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY
"AUNT LYDIA'S" HEAVY RUG YARN
3 - 70 yd. skeins Wheat
1 - 70 yd. skein each Cerise and Antique Gold
Aluminum Crochet Hook Size J OR ANY SIZE HOOK WHICH WILL RESULT IN STITCH GAUGE BELOW.
½ yd. Lining Material
Kapok or Shredded Foam Rubber for Filling

GAUGE: 3 sts = 1 inch

With Wheat ch 2, 8 s c in 1st st of ch, do not join or turn this or following rounds. 2nd ROUND: Place a marker at beg of each round, 2 s c in each s c. 3rd ROUND: * S c in next s c, 2 s c in next s c, repeat from * all around. NEXT 3 ROUNDS: Working in s c inc 8 sts evenly spaced in each round but do not work inc directly over inc of previous rounds. 7th ROUND: 1 s c in each s c (48 s c). NEXT 6 ROUNDS: Inc 8 sts evenly spaced. 14th ROUND: 1 s c in each s c (96 s c). 15th ROUND: Inc 6 s c evenly spaced (102 s c), sl st in next 3 s c to even round, cut yarn. 16th ROUND: BORDER: At­tach Cerise in any s c, s c in same space, * ch 3, s c in same space, skip next 2 s c, 5 d c in next s c (shell), skip next 2 s c, s c in next s c, repeat from * all around ending to correspond, join in 1st s c, cut yarn, turn. 17th ROUND: Keeping ch 3 loop to back of work attach Antique Gold between the 2 s c of same loop in st already worked in, ch 3, 4 d c in same space, * 1 s c, ch 3, 1 s c in center st of next shell, keeping next ch 3 loop to back work a shell between the 2 s c of same loop in st already worked in, repeat from * all around ending to correspond, join in 3rd st of ch at beg, cut yarn, turn. 18th ROUND: With Wheat work in same manner as last round but keep ch 3 loop to front of work. 19th ROUND: With Cerise work same as 17th round. Work another section in same manner.

FINISHING: Cut 2 sections of lining ½ inch larger than pillow. Sew sections tog leaving an opening, fill with Kapok and sew opening closed. Sew sections of pillow tog leaving an opening. Place lining in posi­tion and sew opening closed.
