Jack Frost Sport Yarn—4 2-oz. Balls
1 Spool Sweater Silk

CARRIAGE COVER: Center Strip—With No. 6 Afghan Hook and Knitting Worsted, ch. 47 loosely. Row 1—Draw up a loop thru each ch, keeping all loops on hook. Work off as follows: Draw yarn thru 1st loop *, draw yarn thru 2 loops; repeat from * until 1 loop remains on hook. Row 2—* Insert hook under next vertical st on row below, draw yarn thru; repeat from * to end of row. Work off loops as on row 1. Work pattern for 27 inches. Bind off as follows: Draw yarn thru 1st st, draw yarn thru 2 loops on hook, * draw yarn thru next st, draw yarn thru 2 loops on hook; repeat from * across row. Fasten off. Side Pieces—Ch 39. Row 1—Work 3 dc 3 ch 3 dc in 6th ch from hook *, skip 2 ch, 1 dc in next ch, skip 2 ch, 3 dc 3 ch 3 dc in next ch; repeat from *, ending with 1 dc in last ch, ch 2, turn. Row 2—* Work 3 dc 3 ch 3 dc in ch 3 space, 1 dc around post of dc; repeat from * across row, ending with 1 dc in last st. Repeat row 2 until piece measures 27 inches. Work a 2nd piece the same. Crochet side pieces to center strip with sc on right side.
Border: Work 2 rows of sc around entire cover, working 3 sc in each corner.
Edging: Starting on 3rd st from corner, work 1 dc *, skip 2 sts, 3 dc 3 ch 3 dc in next st, skip 2 sts, 1 dc in next st; repeat from * around entire cover. Row 2—With Sweater Silk work * 8 dc in ch 3 space, 1 dc around post of dc; repeat from * around entire cover.
PILLOW: With No. 6 Afghan Hook and Knitting Worsted, ch 31. Work Afghan st for 10 inches. Side Pieces: Ch 21. Work 2 pieces same as side pieces of cover for 10 inches. Crochet side pieces to center strip. Border and Edging: Same as on cover.
SACQUE: With No. 4 Afghan Hook and Sport Yarn, ch 53. Work Afghan st for 4 rows, add 25 ch to beginning and end of row for sleeves. Work over both sleeves and back for 3½ inches. Work over 40 sts for 4 rows, then increase 1 st on neck edge each row for 3 inches. Bind off 25 sts for sleeve, work on remaining sts for 4 rows. Fasten off. Omit 22 sts for neck; attach yarn, and work other side to correspond.
Cuffs: Work 3 rows of shells.
Edging: With Sweater Silk, 1 row of shells. Sew sleeves and sides. Attach yarn to left front, work shells described for side pieces of cover for 6½ inches.
Edging: Same as on cover around fronts and bottom. Fasten off.
CAP: With No. 4 Afghan Hook and Sport Yarn, ch 69. Work Afghan st for 4½ inches. Fasten off. Omit 1st 23 sts, attach yarn, work over next 22 sts for 5½ inches. Crochet the sides of the 5½ inch piece to the 23 omitted sts at each end. Fasten off. Work 4 rows of sc to front.
Neck Edge: Work 1 row of sc across neck edge, skipping every 3rd st. Work 4 rows of sc, st for st, and fasten off.
Front Edge: Attach yarn to 1st row of sc. Work shells for 2 rows.
Edging: Same as cover.
BOOTIES: With No. 2 Crochet Hook and Sport Yarn, ch 9. Work Afghan st for 7 rows. Ch 26, join to end of last row. Work 8 rows of sc around 3 sides of square and 26 ch. Fasten off and sew tog. Attach yarn at center of back of boot, work shells for 5 rows and fasten off.
Edging: Same as on cap. Make a loose ch 14 inches long, lace thru as illustrated, and trim with tassels at ends.
