Jack Frost Knitting Worsted—5 4-oz. Skeins
Jack Frost Sport Yarn—4 2-oz. Balls

CARRIAGE COVER: With No. 6 Afghan Hook and Knitting Worsted, ch 97 loosely. Row 1—Draw up a loop thru each ch, keeping all loops on hook. Work off as follows: Draw yarn thru 1st loop *, draw yarn thru 2 loops; repeat from * until 1 loop remains. Row 2—* Insert hook under next vertical st on row below, draw yarn thru; repeat from * to end of row, keeping all loops on hook. Work off loops as on row 1. Repeat row 2 until piece measures 26 inches. Bind off as follows: Draw yarn thru 1st st, draw yarn thru 2 loops on hook. * Draw yarn thru next st, draw yarn thru 2 loops on hook; repeat from * across row.
Border: Row 1—Work 1 sc around entire cover, working 3 sc in each corner. Row 2—1 dc in 1st st, 3 dc in next st, * skip 1 st, 1 dc in next st, 3 dc in next st; repeat from *, working 3 dc in each corner, ending with sl st on top of ch 3, ch 3. Row 3—* 1 dc in the dc of previous row, 3 dc around the post of the center dc of the 3 dc group; repeat from * around entire cover, working 3 dc in each corner, ending with 1 sl st on top of ch 3. Repeat row 3 six times.
Edging: * 1 sc in each of the next 3 sts, ch 3, 1 sc in same as last sc; repeat from * around entire cover. Fasten off.
PILLOW: With No. 6 Afghan Hook and Knitting Worsted, ch 60. Work pattern for 10 inches. Border and edging same as on cover.
SWEATER: With No. 4 Afghan Hook and Sport Yarn, ch 53. Work pattern for 7 inches. Add 31 ch to each side for sleeves. Work over both sleeves and back for 3½ inches. Then work over 46 sts for 1 inch. Add 11 ch to neck edge. Work over 46 sts and 11 ch for 3 inches. Bind off 1st 30 sts, work over remaining sts for 7 inches. Bind off.
Left Front: Omit 20 sts for neck, attach yarn, and work to correspond right front.
Cuff: Work 1 row of sc, skipping every 4th st. 4 rows of sc, st for st, and fasten off. Sew sleeve and side seams.
Border: Row 1—Starting on neck edge of left front, work 1 sc in each st, 3 sc in corner, 1 sc in each st on bottom, 3 sc on corner, 1 sc in each st of right front, ch 1, turn. Row 2—1 sc in each st, 3 sc in each corner. Row 3—1 sc in each st, 3 sc in corner, sc to corner of right front. Then work buttonholes as follows: 1 sc in each of 1st 3 sts from corner, * ch 2, skip 2 sts, 1 sc in each of the next 8 sts; repeat from * to neck edge. Row 4 —Work 1 sc in each st, 3 sc in each corner.
Edging: 1 sc in each st to 1st corner *, skip 1 st, work 3 dc around post of next st on 2nd row, skip 1 st, 1 sc in next st; repeat from * around bottom and right front. Fasten off.
Collar: Work 1 sc in each st, including bands, for 2½ inches, increasing 1 st at end of each row. Work edging around collar and fasten off.
CAP: With No. 4 Afghan Hook and Sport Yarn, ch 61. Work pattern for 5½ inches. Fold in center, crochet tog. with sc on right side. Work 1 row of sc, skipping every 3rd st, on neck edge. Work 4 rows of sc, st for st.
Front: Work 6 rows of sc and edging. Fasten off.
BOOTIES: With No. 2 Crochet Hook and Sport Yarn, ch 9. Work 2 inches of pattern. Ch 26 and join to beginning of last row. Work 8 rows of sc around 3 sides of square and 26 ch. Fasten off. Sew tog. Starting at center of back of boot, work sc back and forth for 3 inches. Work edging and fasten off. Sew back seam. Make a loose ch 14 inches long, and lace thru as illustrated. Trim with tassels at each end.
