Materials Required - AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY "GEM" COTTON YARN.
1 Skein each of Black and Red or any 2 Colors desired.
Bone Crochet Hook Number 5 or 6.

Soles worked same as Slippers Number 2110.
Work the soles in Black or the Darker shade used.

Upper Section. With Red or Light Color. Ch 12, 11 s c on ch, (ch 1 and turn each row) work remainder of slipper taking up back loop of st only.
2nd Row. 1 s c in each of the first 5 s c, 1 s c, 1 puff st, 1 s c in 6th st. (Puff st, yarn over needle, insert in st, pull loop through, * yarn over needle, insert in same st, pull loop through, repeat from *, yarn over and pull through all loops on needle but one, yarn over and pull through two loops) 1 s c in each of the last 5 s c.
3rd Row. 1 s c in each s c, working 3 s c in center s c over puff st.
4th Row. 1 s c in each s c, working 1 s c, 1 puff st and 1 s c in center s c.
Repeat 3rd and 4th rows 4 times.
Next Row. Work over 7 s c, for back of slipper, ch 1, turn and work 31 more rows (for larger slipper increase the number of rows). Sew or crochet to 7 s c at opposite side of vamp. With wrong side of work towards you, slip st to next free s c in vamp and work beading all around back of slipper. (Beading. Ch 1, skip 1 row, s c in next row). Join to 8th st at opposite side of vamp. Ch 3, turn, 1 d c in same space, skip 1 mesh, s c in next mesh. * Ch 3, 1 d c in same space, skip 1 mesh, s c in next mesh, repeat from * around back, join in 8th s c at opposite side of vamp.
With Black crochet or sew tops and soles together, leaving 5 center toe sts free. Crochet a chain or run elastic through beading and trim with pom-poms as illustrated.
