Baby Slip Edging Pattern

MATERIALS:
CLARK'S O.N.T. BEST SIX CORD MER­CERIZED CROCHET, Art. B.4, Size 100: 1 ball of White.
Milwards Steel Crochet Hook No. 15.
A baby petticoat.

   Starting at long side, make a chain slightly longer than lower edge of slip. Holding back on hook the last loop of each dc make 2 dc in 5th ch from hook, thread over and draw through all loops on hook (cluster made); ch 3, sc in tip of dc cluster (picot made), * ch 3, skip 1 ch, sc in next ch, ch 3, skip 1 ch, cluster in next ch, picot. Repeat from * across, ending with sc. Break off.
   Sew narrow ends together. Sew to bottom of slip. Make another piece to reach around neck and armhole open­ings. Sew in place.
