2nd Round. Ch 3, * 3 d c in next loop, d c in next d c, repeat from * all around ending with 3 d c in last loop, join.

3rd Round. Ch 3 (counts as 1 d c), 1 d c in each of the next 2 d c, * ch 4, skip 1 d c, 1 d c in each of the next 3 d c, repeat from * all around, ch 4, join.

4th Round. Slip stitch (sl st) between the ch 3 and 1st d c, ch 3, d c between next 2 d c, * ch 3, 2 d c in next loop, ch 3, d c between 1st and 2nd d c of next d c group, d c between 2nd and 3rd d c of same d c group, repeat from * all around ending to correspond, ch 3, join.

5th Round. Ch 3, d c in same space, 2 d c in next d c, * ch 2, 1 d c in each of the next 2 d c, ch 2, 2 d c in each of the next 2 d c, repeat from * all around ending to correspond, ch 2, join.

11th Round. Ch 3, d c in same space, * 1 d c in each of the next 5 d c, ch 2, skip 2 d c, 1 d c in each of the next 5 d c, 2 d c in next d c, ch 2, 1 d c in each of the next 2 d c, ch 2, 2 d c in next d c, repeat from * all around ending to correspond, ch 2, join.

12th Round. Next 5 Rounds. Work in same manner as last round skipping 1st and last d c of each solid section and having 1 more open mesh in each open mesh section in each round (2 d c left in each solid section in last round).

21st Round. Ch 3, and work 1 d c in each d c and 2 d c over each mesh, join.

22nd Round. Ch 3, d c in next d c, * ch 3, skip 2 d c, 1 d c in each of the next 2 d c, repeat from * all around, ch 3, join.

23rd Round. Sl st into ch 3 mesh, ch 3, d c in same space, * ch 3, 2 d c in next ch 3 mesh, repeat from * all around, ch 3, join.

24th Round. Ch 3 and work 1 d c in each d c and 3 d c over each ch 3 mesh, join.

25th Round. Same as 22nd round.

26th, 27th and 28th Rounds. Same as 23rd round.

29th Round. Sl st into ch 3 mesh, ch 3, 2 d c in same space, * ch 3, sl st in top of last d c made for picot, 2 d c in same mesh, ch 3, s c in next ch 3 mesh, ch 3, 3 d c in next mesh, repeat from * all around ending to corre­spond, join, cut thread.
