With Blue chain (ch) 8, join to form a ring, ch 3 and work 19 double crochet (d c) in ring, join in 3rd stitch (st) of ch.

2nd Round: Ch 3 (always counts as 1 d c), working in back loop of sts, d c in same space, * 2 d c in next d c, repeat from * all around, join (40 sts).

3rd Round. Ch 3, 2 d c in next d c, * d c in next d c, 2 d c in next d c, repeat from * all around, join in 3rd st of ch (60 sts).

4th Round. Ch 3, d c in next d c, 2 d c in next d c, * 1 d c in each of the next 2 d c, 2 d c in next d c, repeat from * all around, join (80 sts).

5th Round. Working in d c increase in every 4th d c (100 sts).

6th Round. Increase in every 5th d c (120 sts).

7th Round. Ch 3, skip 2 d c, working in both loops of sts, single crochet (s c) in next d c, * ch 2, skip 2 d c, s c in next d c, repeat from * all around, ch 2, join in 1st st of ch (40 loops).

8th Round. Slip stitch (sl st) into loop, ch 3, d c in same loop, * s c in next loop, ch 3, 2 d c in same loop (shell), repeat from * all around ending with s c in 1st loop already worked in, ch 3, join in 3rd st of ch, ch 1, turn.

9th Round. Sl st to ch 3 loop of next shell, ch 3, d c in same loop, * s c over ch 3 of next shell, ch 3, 2 d c over same ch, repeat from * all around ending with s c over 1st ch 3 already worked over, ch 3, join in 3rd st of ch, ch 1, turn.

Repeat last round 3 times.

13th Round. Sl st into loop, ch 3, 2 d c in same loop, * s c over ch 3 of next shell, ch 3, 3 d c over same ch, repeat from * all around ending with s c over 1st ch 3 already worked over, ch 3, join, ch 1, turn.

14th Round. Sl st into loop, ch 3, 3 d c in same loop, * s c over ch 3 of next shell, ch 3, 4 d c over same ch, repeat from * all around ending with s c over 1st ch 3 already worked over, ch 3, join, do not turn.

15th Round. Ch 1, s c in same space, * ch 5, s c in 3rd st of end ch of next shell, repeat from * all around, ch 5, join in 1st s c.

16th Round. Ch 1, s c in same space, 5 s c in next loop, * s c in next s c, 5 s c in next loop, repeat from * all around, join in 1st s c, ch 1, turn.

Next Row. Start Boat — S c in same space, 1 s c in each of the next 12 s c, ch 3, turn.

Next Row. S c in 2nd st from hook, s c in next st of ch, 1 d c in each of the next 12 s c, 4 treble crochet (tr c) in next s c, cut thread, turn.

Work 9 more boats in same manner having 11 s c between each boat.

Sail: With right side of work toward you attach White in 3rd d c of boat, ch 9, skip 8 d c, sl st in next st, ch 1, turn.

2nd Row. 9 s c over loop, ch 1, turn.

3rd Row. Skip 1 s c, 1 s c in each of the next 8 s c, ch 1, turn.

4th Row. 1 s c in each of the 1st 6 s c, skip 1 s c, s c in next s c, ch 1, turn.

5th Row. Skip 1 s c, 1 s c in each of the next 6 s c, ch 1, turn.

6th Row. 1 s c in each of the 1st 4 s c, skip 1 s c, s c in next s c, ch 1, turn.

7th Row. Skip 1 s c, 1 s c in each of the next 4 s c, ch 1, turn.

8th Row. 1 s c in each of the 1st 2 s c, skip 1 s c, s c in next s c, ch 1, turn.

9th Row. Skip 1 s c, 1 s c in each of the next 2 s c, ch 1, turn.

10th Row. Skip 1 s c, s c in next s c, cut thread.

Work a sail in each boat in same manner.

Masts: With right side of work toward you attach Blue in 8th d c of boat, ch 10, sl st in top of sail, ch 12, skip next 6 sts of boat, sl st in next st, cut thread.
