BERNAT Nylo Germantown (2 oz. skeins) — 7 each Horizon Blue and Blue Bell, 6 Dresden Blue, 3 White

1 aluminum crochet hook size J

GAUGE: 3 sts = 1 inch; 3 rows = 1 inch

SQUARES: Make 94 Horizon Blue, 83 Dresden Blue, 94 Blue Bell. Ch 11 sts. Row 1: 1 s c in 2nd ch from hook, 1 s c in each st to end of ch, ch 1, turn — 10 s c. Row 2: 1 s c in first s c, * 1 s c in next s c, repeat from * across row, ch 1, turn. Repeat Row 2 eight times more. Fasten off.

FINISHING: Block squares to measure 3 inches. Sew squares tog in color pattern as shown on chart, leaving x squares open for motif. MOTIF: Using White, ch 4, join with sl st to form a ring, ch 4, 1 s c in one corner of open square, ch 4, 1 s c in ring, * ch 3, 1 s c in center edge of next square, ch 3, 1 s c in ring, ch 4, 1 s c in next corner, ch 4, 1 s c in ring, repeat from * around entire open square. Fasten off. Work a motif in same manner in each open square of afghan. Using Blue Bell, work 1 row s c around entire afghan, work­ing 3 s c in each corner.
