Edging #8836 Pattern

Smart linens become so precious looking edged with filet lace.

Ch 53. 1st row: Dc in 8th ch from hook, ch 2, skip 2 ch, dc in next 4 ch, (ch 2, skip 2 ch, dc in next ch) 5 times; dc in next 12 ch, (ch 2, skip 2 ch, dc in next 4 ch) twice. Ch 3, turn. 2nd row: Dc in next 3 dc (bl over bl made), ch 2, dc in next dc (sp over sp made), ch 2, skip 2 dc, dc in next dc (sp over bl made), 2 dc in next sp, dc in next dc (bl over sp made), make 2 sps, dc in next 6 dc (2 bls over 2 bls made); make 1 more bl, 4 sps, 1 bl, 1 sp, ch 2, skip 2 sts of turning ch, dc in next ch. Ch 7, turn. 3rd row: Dc in 1st dc (1 sp increased), make 1 sp, 1 bl, 9 sps, (1 bl, 1 sp) twice; 1 bl. Ch 3, turn. 4th row: 1 bl, 1 sp, 1 bl, 2 sps, 1 bl, 3 sps, 4 bls, 2 sps, 1 bl, 1 sp, ch 5, dc in same place as last dc, turn, sl st in 3 ch (1 sp increased). Ch 5, but do not turn. Starting with 5th row, follow chart until 11th row is completed. 12th row: Follow chart across to last sp; do not work over last sp (1 sp decreased). Ch 5, turn. Now follow chart to top. Then repeat chart for length desired. Fasten off. Attach thread in 1st sp made and work sc closely along scalloped edge. Fasten off.
