GAUGE: Each motif measures 4 inches square. For a tablecloth 70 x 90 inches, make 17 x 22 motifs.

FIRST MOTIF … Starting at center, ch 10. Join. 1st rnd: Ch 1, 16 sc in ring. Sl st in 1st sc made. 2nd rnd: Ch 4, 8 tr in same place as sl st, * ch 3, skip 3 sc, in next sc make 9 tr. Repeat from * around. Join last tr with dc to 4th st of ch-4. 3rd rnd: Sl st in sp, ch 5, dc in same sp, ch 5, * sc in next 7 tr, ch 5, in next sp make dc, ch 2 and dc; ch 5, skip next tr. Repeat from * around. Join to 3rd st of ch-5. 4th rnd: Sl st in sp, ch 3, in same sp make dc, ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2 and 2 dc; * ch 5, skip 1 sc, sc in next 5 sc, ch 5, skip next ch-5, in next sp make (2 dc, ch 2) twice and 2 dc. Repeat from * around. Fasten off.
   Make 17 x 22 motifs, joining adjacent sides as 2nd motif was joined to 1st (wherever 4 corners meet, join 3rd and 4th corners to joining of other corners).
