J. & P. Coats or Clark's O.N.T. Best Six Cord Mercerized Crochet (Small Ball), Size 30, 1 ball of White.
J. & P. Coats Big Ball Best Six Cord Mercerized Crochet, Size 30, 1 ball of No. 48 Hunter's Green.
Clark's Big Ball Three Cord Mercerized Crochet, Size 30, 1 ball of No. 123 Salmon Pink.
Steel Crochet Hook No. 10.
A pair of white pillow cases.

MOTIF (Make 4)—Leaf (Make 4) … Starting at center with Hunter's Green, ch 15. 1st row: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, 3 sc in last ch; working along opposite side of starting chain make sc in each ch across to within last 2 ch. Ch 1, turn. Hereafter pick up back loop of each sc. 2nd row: Sc in each sc to center sc of 3-sc group, 3 sc in center sc, sc in each remaining sc to within last 2 sc. Ch 1, turn. 3rd to 6th rows incl: Repeat 2nd row. 7th row: Sc in each sc to center sc of 3-sc group, sl st in center sc. Break off. Sew Leaves together, joining 6 sc on each side of center sc. Attach White to center point on any leaf, sc in same place, (ch 5, sc in next point) 3 times; * ch 3, sc in next point on next leaf, (ch 5, sc in next point) 6 times. Repeat from * around. Join and break off.

FIRST FLOWER … Starting at center with Salmon Pink, ch 8. Join with sl st to form ring. 1st rnd: Ch 7, (tr in ring, ch 3) 11 times. Join to 4th ch of ch-7. 2nd rnd: In next sp make sc, half dc, ch 3, half dc and sc, in next sp make sc and half dc, ch 1, sl st in 7th sp on any side of center, ch 1, in same sp on flower make half dc and sc, in next sp make sc and half dc, ch 1, sl st in next sp on center, ch 1, in same sp on flower make half dc and sc, in each remaining sp around make sc, half dc, ch 3, half dc and sc. Join and break off.

SECOND FLOWER … Work as for First Flower until 1st rnd is completed. 2nd rnd: In next sp make sc, half dc, ch 3, half dc and sc, in next sp make sc and half dc, ch 1, skip 2 loops on First Flower following joining, sl st in next loop, ch 1, half dc and sc in same sp on Second Flower, in next sp make sc and half dc, ch 1, sl st in next loop on First Flower, ch 1, make sc and half dc in same sp on Second Flower, in next sp make sc, half dc, ch 3, half dc and sc; in next sp make sc and half dc, ch 1, skip 3 sps on center, sl st in next sp, ch 1, half dc and sc in same sp on Second Flower, in next sp make sc and half dc, ch 1, sl st in next sp on center, ch 1, half dc and sc in same sp on Flower. Complete rnd (no more join­ings).

THIRD FLOWER … Work as be­fore, joining to previous flower only and leaving one loop free between joinings. Make 9 more flowers, joining adjacent sides of flowers and joining flowers to center as before. Rip out hem and press. Sew motifs in place. Cut out in back of lower half of motifs. Cut back corners to meet front. Make necessary number of motifs as before for Edging. Sew in place. Starch lightly and press.
