Lacy Fascinator Pattern #1826

MATERIALS:
J. & P. COATS KNIT-CRO-SHEEN, 6 balls of White or Ecru, or 8 balls of any color.
CHADWICK'S RED HEART BABY WOOL, 7 balls (¾ oz. balls).
Bone Crochet Hook No. 7.

When using Knit-Cro-Sheen, use double strands.
When using Baby Wool, use single strand.

GAUGE: 5 sts make 1 inch.

Starting at narrow end ch 76. 1st row: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, * ch 1, skip 1 ch, sc in next ch. Repeat from * across. Ch 3, turn. 2nd row: * Dc in next ch-1 sp, dc in next sc. Repeat from * across. Ch 1, turn. 3rd row: Sc in 1st dc, * ch 1, skip 1 dc, sc in next dc. Repeat from * across. Ch 3, turn. Repeat 2nd and 3rd rows alternately until piece meas­ures 32 inches ending with the 3rd row. Break off. Block piece to measure 15 x 36 inches.

FRINGE ... Cut six 7-inch strands. Double these strands forming a loop. Insert hook in a ch-1 sp on narrow end and pull loop through; now draw loose ends through loop and pull tightly. Make a fringe in each ch-1 sp on each narrow end. Trim fringe evenly.
