, 1 ball of any color will make 2 pot holders.
Crochet Hook, size G.
A bone ring for each holder.

Starting at center, ch 11. 1st rnd: 3 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across to last ch, 5 sc in last ch; then, working along opposite side of foundation chain, make sc in each ch and 2 sc in same place where first 3 sc were made. Do not join rnds. 2nd rnd: 2 ch-sc in each of the next 3 sts—to make a ch-sc, insert hook in st and pull loop through, yarn over and draw through 1 loop, yarn over and draw through 2 loops. Ch-sc in each of 8 sts; 2 ch-sc in each of following 5 sts; ch-sc in each of next 8 sts, 2 ch-sc in each of next 2 sts. Continue thus working rnds of ch-sc, increasing as necessary around ends of oval to keep work flat, until piece measures about 5 x 7 inches (there must be a multiple of 8 sts on last rnd). Now work scallops as follows: * Sc in next st, skip 2 sts, 3 tr in each of next 3 sts, skip 2 sts. Repeat from * around. Join last tr with sl st in 1st sc made. Fasten off. Sew on ring.
