MATERIALS REQUIRED:
Art. 65 DAISY Mercerized Crochet Cotton size 20 in White, Emerald Green and Shd. Lavenders
or
Art. 161 Lily MERCROCHET Cotton size 20 in White, Hunter Green and Shd. Lavenders.
Crochet hook No. 12.

BLOCK(Size–3¼ inches)–With Green ch 7, join with sl st to form ring. ROW 1–Ch 1, sc in ring, (ch 16, sc in 11th ch from hook, ch 2, sk next 2 ch, dc in next ch, ch 2, sc in ring) 4 times. ROW 2–* Sc and hdc in 1st ch-2 sp on next petal, 2 dc in next dc, hdc and sc in next sp, 16 sc in end ring, sc and hdc in next sp on other side of petal, 2 dc in next dc, hdc and sc in next sp. Repeat from * 3 times. Join with sl st in 1st sc. Fasten off. ROW 3–With Shd. Lavenders ch 6, holding back the last lp of each tr on hook, make 3 tr in 6th ch from hook, thread over and draw thru all lps on hook (Cluster made), sk 1st 2 sc on one end ring, sc in next 2 sc, * (ch 6, a 2-tr Cluster in 6th ch from hook, ch 4, sl st in Cluster for a p, ch 5, sl st at base of Cluster, sc in next 2 sc on ring) 5 times, ch 6, a 3-tr Cluster in 6th ch from hook, ** ch 7, a 3-tr Cluster in 6th ch from hook, sk 2 sc on next end ring, sc in next 2 sc. Repeat from * around, ending at **, ch 1, join with sl st in starting st of row. Fasten off. ROW 4–Join White to center petal on one flower, * ch 11, sc in same petal, (ch 7, sc in next petal) twice, ch 7, sc between next 2 petals, (ch 7, sc in next petal) 3 times. Repeat from * around, join with ch 3, dc in starting petal. ROW 5–Ch 7, (sc, ch 11, sc) in next corner lp, * (ch 7, sc in next lp) 7 times to next corner lp, ch 11, sc in same corner lp. Repeat from * around, join with ch 3, dc in dc at end of last row. ROW 6–Ch 7, sc in next lp, * ch 3, (4 dc, ch 5, 4 dc) in next corner lp, ch 3, sc in next lp, (ch 7, sc in next lp) 6 times. Repeat from * around, join and fasten off.

2d BLOCK–Repeat to * in Row 6. Ch 3, 4 dc in next corner lp, ch 2, sl st in center st of a corner lp on 1st Block, ch 2, 4 dc back in same corner lp on 2d Block, sl st in corresponding 4th dc on 1st Block, ch 3, sc back in next lp on 2d Block, (ch 3, sl st in next ch-7 lp on 1st Block, ch 3, sc back in next lp on 2d Block) 6 times, ch 3, dc in next corner lp, sl st in 1st corner dc on 1st Block, 3 dc back in same corner lp on 2d Block, ch 2, sl st in center st of corner lp on 1st Block, ch 2, 4 dc back in same corner lp on 2d Block. Complete row as for 1st Block.

Join 3d Block to 2d Block and 4th Block to 1st and 3d Blocks in same way. Work as many Blacks as desired, joining in same manner. Stretch and pin finished doily right-side-down in true shape. Steam and press dry thru a cloth.
