REQUIREMENTS:

YARN: 2-ounces of 3-ply Baby Yarn, Pompadour or Nylon
½-ounce for trimming
CROCHET HOOK: 1-steel #0
8-inch Plastic Doll
1-yd. of narrow ribbon

DRESS: Starting at the neck edge and using the main color, make a chain of 27 sts, turn; 1 d c in 4th st from hook, * 2 d c in next st, 1 d c in next st; repeat from * across row, end­ing with 1 d c in last st (36 sts). Ch 3, turn. 2nd row: 1 d c in next 5 sts, ch 5, skip 5 sts, 1 d c in next 14 sts, ch 5, skip 5 sts, 1 d c in last 6 sts. Ch 3, turn. 3rd row: 1 d c in next 5 sts, 1 d c in each of the 5-chain sts, 1 d c in next 14 sts, 1 d c in each of the 5-chain sts, 1 d c in last 6 sts. Ch 3, turn. 4th row: 1 d c in each st across row. Ch 3, turn. 5th row: Repeat 4th row. Join with a slip st. Skirt: Ch 3, 1 d c in same space, * 2 d c in each of the remaining sts. Join round. 2nd rd: Repeat last round, once. 3rd rd: Ch 3, 1 d c in each st around. Join. 4th rd: Ch 3, 2 d c in each st around. Join round. 5th rd: Ch 3, 3 d c in each st around. Join round. Break off color. Tie in contrasting color and make 1 round of s c. Break yarn and fasten off. SLEEVES: Tie color at the underarm, Ch 3, make 21 d c around armhole. Break off color. Tie in contrasting color and make 1 round of s c. Fasten off. Using the contrasting color, make 1 row of s c around neck edge.

BONNET: Ch 4, join to form a ring. 1st rd: .Ch 3, make 15 d c into ring. Join round. 2nd rd: Ch 3, 1 d c in same stitch as ch-3, * 1 d c in next st, 2 d c in next st; repeat from * around. Join round. 3rd rd: Repeat 2nd round once. Join round. 4th rd: Ch 3, make 1 d c in each st around, once. Join round. 5th row: Ch 3, 1 d c in next 29 sts. Ch 3, turn. 6th and 7th rows: Repeat 5th row. Ch 3, turn. 8th row: (Frill) 1 d c in next 3 sts, 2 d c in each of the next 22 sts, 1 d c in remaining 4 sts. 9th row: Repeat 8th row, making 2 d c in 44 sts. Break off main color. Tie in white and make 1 row of s c all around bonnet.

PANTIES: Using the main color, make a chain of 40 sts, turn; 1 d c in 4th st from hook, 1 d c in each of the remaining sts (38 sts). Ch 3, turn. 2nd row: 1 d c in each st across row. Ch 3, turn. 3rd row: 1 d c in each st across row. Join with a slip st to ch-3. Ch 3, turn. 4th round: 1 d c in each st around. Join round. Ch 3, turn. 5th row: 1 d c in each of the next 7 sts (crotch). Ch 3, turn. 6th-7th-8th-9th rows: Repeat 5th row. Break yarn, leaving 5-inches. Sew the center 8 sts to form a crotch, leave 11 sts for each leg. Tie in contrasting color at leg opening and make 1 row of s c around leg. Do the same at 2nd leg opening. Make 1 row of s c around top of panties.

BOOTIES: Ch 4, join with a slip st to form a ring. Make 12 s c into ring. Mark the beginning of the round as an aid in counting. Make 4 rounds more of s c, stitch for stitch. Ch 2, turn; 1 s c in next 9 sts. Next row: Repeat last row 4 times more. Break yarn. Sew up back of bootie. Tie yarn in at back of bootie. Ch 3, make 19 d c around top part of bootie; join round. Ch 3, 1 d c in each st around. Join round. Break off color and tie in white; make 1 row of s c around. Break yarn and fasten off. Ties: Using the contrasting color, make a chain of 60 sts.
