Ch 135. 1st Row—43 sp, ch 5, turn. 2d Row—1 sp, 41 bl, 1 sp, ch 5, turn. Next 8 rows, 1 sp, 1 bl, 39 sp, 1 bl, 1 sp, ch 5, turn. 11th Row—1 sp, 1 bl, 13 sp, 4 bl, 5 sp, 4 bl, 13 sp, 1 bl, 1 sp, ch 5, turn and follow pattern in Plate 79. To determine the necessary number of spaces between the figure and the initials count HALF the number of rows necessary for the initials, add to the number in the figure, and see how far from the center of the towel this will bring the work. The remaining distance should be filled with the plain filet.
