Materials: KENTUCKY ALL PURPOSE YARN—For 24" Rug—Center, 6 Skeins Red (34 Rows)—Edge, 4 Skeins Black (10 Rows). Use Crochet Hook Size G or 5. Use any colors desired.

To Start: Using double thread (2 strands) make a chain (ch) of 4 stitches (sts), join with a slip stitch (sl st) in 1st ch to form ring. Row 1—Make 12 sc in ring. Row 2—Sc around, inc (2 sc) in every 2nd st. Row 3—Sc around, inc (2 sc) in every 3rd st. Row 4—Sc around, inc (2 sc) in every 4th st. Row 5—Sc around, inc (2 sc) in every 5th st. Continue work­ing sc around, increasing progressively in same manner for desired number of rows. Finish with slip stitch on last row for improved edge.
