MATERIALS:
J. & P. COATS "KNIT-CRO-SHEEN," Art. A.64: 1 ball each of No. 9 Yellow, No. 68 Skipper Blue and No. 126 Spanish Red ... A few yards of No. 12 Black ... Milwards Steel Crochet Hook No. 4 ... A bone ring.
Use thread double throughout.
Starting at center with Spanish Red, ch 2. 1st rnd: 7 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join. 2nd rnd: 2 sc in each sc around. Join and break off. 3rd rnd: Attach Yellow to same place as sl st, sc in same place, * 2 sc in next sc (1 sc increased), sc in next sc. Repeat from * around. Join. 4th and 5th rnds: Sc in each sc around, increasing 7 sc evenly on each rnd, being careful that increases are not directly above previous increases. Join. Break off at end of 5th rnd. Attach Skipper Blue and continue to work in pattern, making 4 rnds of Skipper Blue, 5 rnds of Yellow and 6 rnds of Red. Embroider darts with Black.
Make another piece the same way. For Padding, see patternbook page. Sew pieces together. With Black sc closely around bone ring. Sew in place.
