1 Pr. Inner Soles.
Work soles and heels same as slipper No. 4703 working inside section of sole in Cream and lower section in Green. Directions are given for medium size—small and large sizes are given in parenthesis.
UPPER SECTION—With color, ch 71, (67-75) s c in 2nd ch from hook, * ch 1, d c in same st, skip 2 sts of ch, s c in next ch, repeat from * to end of row, turn.
2nd Row—Sl st to 2nd s c (a decrease) s c in same st, * ch 1, d c in same st, s c in next s c (pattern), repeat from * across row decreasing 1 pattern at end of row, turn.
3rd Row—Same as 2nd row, break yarn. With White, work a row of s c across top working 1 s c in each s c and 1 s c in each d c.
VAMP—With Color, ch 5, s c in 2nd st from hook, ch 1, d c in same st, skip 2 sts of ch, s c in next st, ch 1, turn.
2nd Row—S c in same space, ch 1, d c in same space, s c in same space, (an increase) ch 1, d c in same space, s c in next s c, ch 1, d c in same space, s c in same space (an increase), ch 1, turn.
Next 3 Rows—Work even in pattern.
Next Row—Increase 1 pattern at the beginning and end of row.
Next 3 (1-5) Rows—Work even in pattern, drop Green (when changing Colors always complete the last half of st with next Color). With White, work 1 s c in each st, break yarn.
With Green, work 1 row even in pattern, break yarn.
With White, work 1 s c in each st, break yarn.
Sew vamp in position to upper section. Sew upper section to sole as illustrated.
