Join. 4th rnd: Ch 5, holding back on hook the last loop of each d tr make 2 d tr in same place as sl st, thread over and draw through all loops on hook (cluster made); * ch 12, sc in 6th ch from hook (picot made), ch 6, skip 6 dc, make a 3-d tr cluster in next dc. Ch 7, turn. 4th and 5th rows: Dec 1 dc—to dec 1 dc, work off 2 dc as 1 dc—dc in each dc across to within last 2 dc, dec 1 dc, ch 4, skip 3 ch, dc in next ch. Ch 7, turn. 6th, 7th and 8th rows: Skip first dc, dec 2 dc—to dec 2 dc, work off 3 dc as 1 dc—dc in each dc across to within last 3 dc, dec 2 dc, ch 4, skip 3 ch, dc in next ch. Ch 7, turn. 9th row: Skip first dc, dec 2 dc, dc in next dc, dec 1 dc, ch 4, skip 3 ch, dc in next ch. Ch 7, turn. 10th row: Skip first dc, dec 2 dc, ch 4, skip 4 ch, dc in next ch. Ch 10, turn. EDGING ... Attach thread to the first sp on the side of any pineapple, 3 sc in same sp, * (in next sp make sc, dc, ch 4, sc in 4th ch from hook—picot made—dc and sc) 9 times; in next sp make sc, 6 dc, picot, 5 dc and sc; (in next sp make sc, dc, picot, dc and sc) 9 times; 3 sc in each of next 2 sps. Repeat from * around. Join and break off. Starch lightly and press.
