Small Ball:
J. & P. Coats—3 balls of White or Ecru, or
Clark's O.N.T.—5 balls of White or Ecru.

Big Ball:
J. & P. Coats—2 balls of White or Ecru.

Steel Crochet Hook No. 8 or 9.

Starting at center ch 12. Join with sl st to form ring. 1st rnd: Ch 3 (to count as 1 dc), 31 dc in ring. Join with sl st in top st of starting chain. 2nd rnd: Ch 1, sc in same place as sl st, sc in each dc around. Join. 3rd rnd: Ch 1, sc in same place as sl st, * ch 1, sc in next sc. Repeat from * around, joining last ch-1 with sl st in 1st sc. 4th rnd: Sl st in next sp, ch 4 (to count as dc and ch 1), * dc in next sp, ch 1. Re­peat from * around, joining last ch-1 with sl st in 3rd st of ch-4. 5th rnd: Sl st in next sp, ch 6 (to count as tr and ch 2), * tr in next sp, ch 2.
