HAT ... Starting at back of Crown with "Speed-Cro- Sheen" and No. 2/0 hook, ch 15. 1st row: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, making 3 sc in last ch (top of crown). Now, working along opposite side of starting chain, make sc in each ch across. Ch 1, turn. 2nd row: Sc in each sc across, making 2 sc in each sc of 3-sc group (1 sc increased in each sc). Starting at outer edge of cuff with No. 8 knitting pins and 1 strand each of "Speed-Cro-Sheen" and "Knit-Cro-Sheen" Metallic, cast on 65 sts. Work in ribbing as follows: 1st row: K 1, * p 1, k 1. Repeat from * across. 2nd row: P 1, * k 1, p 1. Repeat from * across. Work in ribbing until piece measures 7 inches in all. Change to No. 1 knitting pins and continue to work in ribbing until piece measures 8½ inches in all. (More)
