Materials Required: AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY "DAWN" KNITTING WORSTED
50 ozs. Dk. Gray.
6 ozs. Wood Brown.
7 ozs. Amber.
10 ozs. Green or Golf Green.
3 ozs. Orange.
Plastic Crochet Hook No. 6 or H.
GAUGE: 2 shells = 2 ½ inches.
With Gray, ch 352, s c in 2nd st from hook, * skip 2 sts of ch, 5 d c (shell) in next st, skip 2 sts of ch, s c in next st, repeat from * across ch, ch 3, turn.
2nd Row. 2 d c in same space, s c in center d c of next shell, * shell in next s c, s c in center d c of next shell, repeat from * across row ending row with 3 d c in last s c, ch 1, turn.
3rd Row. S c in same space, * shell in next s c, s c in center d c of next shell, repeat from * across row working last s c in 3rd st of ch, drop yarn.
4th Row. Turn, attach Green and work 1 s c in each st, ch 1, turn.
5th Row. 1 s c in each s c, cut yarn.
6th Row. Do not turn, pick up Gray in 1st s c, ch 3, 2 d c in same space, skip 2 s c, s c in next s c, * skip 2 s c, shell in next s c, skip 2 s c, s c in next s c, repeat from * across row working 3 d c in last s c, cut yarn.
7th Row. Without turning, attach Amber in 3rd st of ch and work 1 s c in each st, cut yarn.
8th Row. Without turning, attach Brown in 1 st s c, s c in same space, skip 2 s c, shell in next s c, * skip 2 s c, s c in next s c, skip 2 s c, shell in next s c, repeat from * across row ending with skip 2 s c, s c in next s c, cut yarn.
9th Row. Without turning, attach Amber in 1st s c and work 1 s c in each st, cut yarn.
10th Row. Same as 6th row.
11th and 12th Rows. Same as 4th and 5th rows.
13th Row. Without turning, attach Gray in 1st s c, s c in same space, * skip 2 s c, shell in next s c, skip 2 s c, s c in next s c, repeat from * across row, ch 3, turn.
14th Row. Same as 2nd row.
15th Row. Same as 3rd row, do not drop yarn, ch 3, turn. Repeat the last 2 rows twice, cut yarn.
20th Row. With Amber, work same as 4th row, cut yarn.
21st Row. With Orange, work same as 5th row, cut yarn.
22nd Row. Same as 6th row.
23rd Row. With Green, work same as 7th row.
24th Row. Same as 8th row.
25th Row. With Green, work same as 9th row.
26th Row. Same as 6th row.
27th Row. Turn, with Orange, work same as 7th row, cut yarn.
28th Row. Turn, with Amber, 1 s c in each s c, cut yarn.
29th Row. Same as 13th row.
30th Row. Same as 2nd row.
31st Row. Same as 15th row. Repeat the last 2 rows twice, cut yarn. Repeat from 4th row 5 times, then repeat from the 4th to 15th rows once, cut yarn.
FRINGE: Cut 12 inch lengths, double in half and loop through each st having the colors to correspond to stripes.
