Loop the Loop Crocheted Slippers Pattern

Materials Required:
AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY
"AUNT LYDIA'S" HEAVY RUG YARN
3—70 yd. skeins White
Plastic Crochet Hook Size J OR ANY SIZE HOOK WHICH WILL RESULT IN STITCH GAUGE BELOW

GAUGE: 3 s c = 1 inch; 3 s c rows = 1 inch

NOTE: Slipper is worked in lengthwise sec­tion, then sewed together at heel and toe and 3 inches of instep. Directions given for small size. Changes for medium and large sizes given in parentheses.

Ch 22 (24, 26), 1 s c in 2nd st from hook and in each remaining st of ch, ch 1, turn. 2nd ROW: 1 double loop st in each s c (double loop st: insert hook in st, winding yarn clockwise wind yarn twice around index finger, insert hook from left to right through loops on finger, pick up both loops and pull through st, drop loops from finger, yarn over and pull through all loops on hook), ch 1, turn. 3rd ROW: 1 s c in each st, ch 1, turn. Repeat last 2 rows 3 times, then repeat 3rd row 4 times. Repeat 2nd and 3rd rows 4 times, cut yarn. Sew heel, toe and about 3 inches of instep.
